The life of a mompreneur

I’m a busy mom first and a busy mompreneur second. My children just turned 4 and 5. It’s amazing to think that my first child was just a newborn when I started tinkering with Bare™. When my son was 2 I decided I was going to take two years off work to get Bare™ up and running and now….. 3 years later, we’re finally close to launching. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Back by popular demand!

Our mom-invented products monthly giveaway program is so popular amongst Bittylab’s fans that our Facebook page jams with all the entries. So we created more than one way to enter these contests; you can enter your information here on our Blog or on our Facebook page. You do not need to enter it twice, either way will do.

BARE™ Trials 2012

Hi again, I’m extremely excited to tell you what’s happening this month. Are you sitting down? Here it is:

By invitation only and exclusively to BARE™ subscribers/fans, Bittylab scheduled the BARE™ trials 2012. Only 200 lucky moms will get to try BARE™ for the first time with their babies. Invitations were sent at the beginning of the month and I can’t tell you how thrilled we are with the number of responses we received.

Social Media

I recently attended a Social Media Webinar where they highlighted how to engage a community and make a really popular website. While I was listening to the speaker I was thinking about you, my great pool of fans, that I engage with on a regular basis.

Then I started thinking about the personal rewards I get from this interaction that we share. When I see that I have created something that makes you so excited that you want to share it with your friends, I feel truly rewarded

Where can I buy this bottle already!!!

Hi readers, yes... I hear you. Lots of you are asking “where can I buy it, I need it NOW.” Well we are working at the speed of light to bring you BARE as soon as we can. As I mentioned before BARE is going thru rigorous tests to perform its best. A safe assumption is that we will have distribution in the summer/fall.

Moms know better

Necessity is the mother of invention. No one knows better than a mom when it comes to her baby’s needs. Moms constantly question the purpose of many mom/baby products on the market. They often encounter useless products that fail to serve their needs. In order to make her baby comfortable and make her life easier, moms are constantly coming up with a better way of doing things and either invent something totally new or modify an existing product. Some of these moms share their ideas with other moms who often say, “Oh you should sell that, it’s so useful!!” Then, a product is born along with a new career.

While many moms are novices in the formation of a business enterprise, their desire to share their products with the world serves as a catalyst to embark in the manufacturing world. Each step along the way has its own rewards and gratification.

Personally, I find it tremendously gratifying that moms who have heard of BARE air-free are very anxious to use it with their babies because it fulfills a common, yet unmet need.

As I’m moving ahead with the production of BARE, I want to promote other moms who have had a brilliant idea and have turned it into a product. So every month Bittylab will be teaming up with mom-invented products and hosting giveaway contests. Be sure to participate and support moms in business.

Mompreneur

In the long journey of making BARE air-free baby bottles, I came across a group of ladies that have helped me bring a lot of my thoughts together. This network lives within Facebook and its members are mompreneurs that have products in the market. Most of us will attend the ABC Kids Show in Kentucky and I will meet them for the first time.

Some of these moms have been doing this for years and some are start-ups like myself. Some sell specifically in local boutiques, some of it are in big national chains. I have to say, I wish I knew about all of these useful products when I was pregnant. I’m happy to learn about them while I can still use them with my 2 kids (3 and 4 years old). It’s amazing to see the common denominator amongst these moms and learn that overall 65% of moms feel neglected by large corporations when it comes to convenience and usability of products.
